Volunteer Driver Role
How much time must I give as a Volunteer?
The Car Club in a Box model ensures that your Volunteers are can manage the time they give day to day, week to week without the pressure of being asked face to face to help someone or through a phone call.
Thus your Volunteers can work their role around their commitments, work, caring or family life.
Are there set days or times I must commit to as a Volunteer Driver?
No, Volunteers can accept the journeys they can commit to.
If circumstance change and they can no longer commit to the booking, they have the support network within the team and the booking system to pass back a journey back through the built in request system if needed.
Do you need your own vehicle to be a Volunteer Driver?
No, the club provides the car for the new Volunteer training induction and for every non-driver member journey.
Do I pay the petrol or diesel when driving for member?
No, Volunteer drivers never need to pay for petrol or diesel nor should they be out of pocket.
All of our cars are fully electric and have their own parking bay to collect the car from and return to.
Do I pay to charge the car when Volunteering?
No, all cars are fitted with their own car charging fob. The fob is linked to the car club charging account.
Each fob can start or stop a charging point when the car is plugged into the home bay charger.
Members are not charged for electric nor mileage. Members are only charged for the hourly rental and the monthly membership subscription.
Are there other roles within the club that I could apply for?
Yes, within the Car Club In a Box Model there are other Volunteering roles you could apply for or develop with the Car Club Coordinator or Lead.
For example roles could be built around
CAR CLUB OPERATIONS
